Fine's talents and determination have taken him out from behind the department store counter and into the fast-paced world of fashion. In addition to his editorial work, he has worked with MAC Cosmetics and was chosen as the first African-American spokesperson for Revlon and Covergirl Cosmetics. He continues to work behind the scenes at major fashion events and product launches, always finding a way to stay a leader in the makeup industry. When asked what inspires him, Fine has replied teaching. He wrote Fine Beauty: Beauty Basics and Beyond for African-American Women, a how-to guide which also highlights his accomplishments. As a way to further pass on his knowledge of how to create flawless natural-looking beauty, he recently released his first instructional DVD, Fine: The Basics of Beauty, available at Amazon.com. It features a step-by-step tutorial of three individual makeovers addressing the various beauty challenges with each. He reviews tool, technique, and product selection, and allows viewers insight to his years of experience in the industry and what makes him the number one makeup artist for women of color. - Victoria Scavo |
