2007 Showket Vineyards Sangiovese, Oakville

Refreshingly brighter and less acidic than many Sangiovese wines, Showket's 2007 vintage is well structured and medium bodied with a lustrous red hue and an initial mixture of sweet berry and spice. Resisting the temptation to enjoy this wine immediately and allowing it to breathe is well rewarded with emerging rich plum flavor and earthy notes.
